In my recent articles titled A Publicity Blunder! - DS Najib Donate 1 billion Rupiah using his own money? (dated Thursday November 11, 2010),base on report made by Bernama, I did mention that if DS Najib really made his personal contribution worth Rp1 billion (RM347,000) to help alleviate the suffering of victims of the Merapi volcano disaster, then he is making a big publicity blunder.
He is showing off his wealth. We are not talking about ‘riak’ here, but rather ‘how much is DS Najib actual worth?”
Then a sudden twist of even, either DS Najib or DS Zahid (inserted photo), realising the blunder made, reissued a statement that the money was actually from UMNO.
Now, who is actually lying here?
One might have thought that Bernama and a fleet of newspaper reporters in Indonesia made a wrong statement by indicating that the money was personally from DS Najib.
The whole bunch of reporters made a mistake? Come on, who would believe that?
Did DS Zahid conveniently forget to mention UMNO’s name to the recipients?
If that is the case, then “lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama”
One commenter 'DinTurtle' make a quick check with UMNO, and nothing mentioned about their donations. Don't you think it is a bit odd for a publicity-seeking UMNO, not to say anything. What would UMNO say now? We just wait after Raya Haji.
However this is a very clear case of lying without even blinking an eye. Anyway politicians (UMNO, PAS, PKR, DAP included) are use to it; “re-adjusting statements” to suite owns conditions.
In this case, it’s the President who is doing it. Damnn!!
